Renaissance made a small beginning with less than ten colleges participating; however through the years Renaissance has matured to become one of the most eagerly awaited cultural festivals in University of Delhi, with participants in hundreds and audience in thousands. Renaissance is arguably the largest festival organized in the University. This goodwill and bonhomie that Renaissance enjoys has been built over decades and can only be attributed to the selfless hard work of the students.
With the approach of the latest edition of Renaissance, one cannot help but admire the spirit of euphoria that this festival has come to embody. Come what may, the underlying spirit has triumphed even under the most trying circumstances.
Over the years, galaxies of stars have performed for Renaissance, Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Jagjit Singh and Ghulam Ali to name a few. We have also catered to the demands of pop/rock music aficionados by having star bands performing, like Euphoria and Parikrama. Renaissance has ably reflected the change in times, and has kept adding various competitions to its portfolio. Participants have the option of choosing from a variety of events, ranging from literary and musical events, to the contemporary fashion shows and choreography competitions.
Renaissance has come to embody the spirit of Kirori Mal College. So take the stage with us and lose yourself in the hectic frenzy of celebrations! We assure you that Renaissance this year will attempt to blend the history with the future. It will see the amalgamation of the glorious past of KMC along with the changes over these years and the present day KMC in its true avatar.
